- Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop a broad range fundraising skills and experience. With a focus on fundraising from individuals, this is a varied and interesting role which includes the opportunity to manage a number of fundraising projects. You will also work with our wonderful volunteers, helping our supporters play an active part in our work and getting to see first-hand the transformation we bring about in young people’s lives._

**The important stuff**

**Salary**: from £26,500 dependent on experience

**Hours**: Full-time (3-4 days per week considered), 9.30am-5.30pm

**Location**: Hammersmith, London - we are an office-based organisation with some work at home possible in agreement with the line manager

**Person Specification**
- Ability to personally represent the Christian values of Resurgo and commitment to Resurgo’s mission to transform urban communities
- An interest in fundraising and a desire to grow and gain experience
- Self-motivated and able to exercise initiative
- Effective administration and organisational skills with high attention to detail, and an enjoyment of processes and database work
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to organise events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management skills with ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience of/ability to use databases
- Competent user of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

**Key Responsibilities**

**Individual giving**
- Coordinate the programme for regular givers, working with the Head of Philanthropy and Media & Communications team to provide great donor journeys
- Help to draft copy for fundraising appeals and other fundraising tools
- Work with the Head of Philanthropy on initiatives to increase the number of regular givers such as project managing our presence at Christian festivals
- Manage the day-to-day of individual giving including thanking all donations, coding income and updating our Salesforce database

**Fundraising events and Projects**
- Coordinate sponsored challenge events, including liaising with supporters
- Manage the 'Big Give' annual matched funding appeal, including planning and coordinating internal communication

**Wider team support**
- Develop processes to ensure the effective working of the Philanthropy team
- Manage the Salesforce database for the team, including pulling reports, creating mailing lists, creating event campaigns etc.

**Volunteer Management**
- Manage volunteering opportunities for individuals, working closely alongside other relevant teams (major donor and corporate if you want to name them)

**Active Participation in the Philanthropy and wider Resurgo Mission**

- Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member.
- Lead and contribute to regular team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission.
