We are responsible for the entire range of children’s education, health and social care services in all three boroughs. We use a Signs of Safety practice model and approach which ensures the voice of the child is at the heart of everything we do. To work in close partnership with families to undertake or be involved in targeted pieces of work or holistic assessments of children and young people aged 0-25 years with SEND.
About the role
As a family worker you will be the direct link for families for access to our service. As part of your role as family worker, you will support families with a variety of challenges and needs, the role is therefore very varied and mutable, with each family and young person requiring a differentiated approach. You will be required to work alongside colleagues to assess the needs of the families referred for support and participate in the reviews and evaluation of the work along with contributing actively to the required monitoring of outcomes for the service.
About you
- A passion for working and advocating for children and families
- Experience with working with children with complex additional needs
- Experience in detailed assessment writing
- An understanding of, and experience of implementing safeguarding practice
- A team player who enjoys new learning experiences and opportunities
