**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING APPRENTICE**

**Main Purpose**: To provide administrative support to the Finance/Payroll Team

**Responsible to**: Business Director

**Salary**:Apprentice rate for the first year, National Minimum Wage thereafter.

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING APPRENTICE**

**MAIN DUTIES**
- Assist with the day-to-day finance and payroll processes
- Supporting other members of the Finance Team and wider team with ad hoc finance queries.
- Processing purchase orders, invoices, receipts, payments, remittance advices and reconciliation of statements
- Support with the administration duties
- Working with the Finance and Payroll team to research and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Support the Finance/Payroll Team with data inputting
- Record Keeping

**Training & Development**
- Structured Induction comprising of Dignity and Safeguarding training, Level 2/3 Finance and Accounting qualification.

**Health & Safety**
- To be aware and adhere to the responsibilities of employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

**General**
- To contribute and uphold West House’s values, qualities and standards.
- To ensure one’s own professional development within the organisation.
- To present a professional image in terms of dress and conduct.

**This may include transfer to another location.**

**Salary**: £9,636.00-£19,016.00 per year
