The Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a lecturer with a passion for both teaching and research who can contribute to social sciences teaching on the Master of Public Health (MPH) programme and on the undergraduate medical degrees. It offers an opportunity to join a dynamic research institute with a strong social science team.

Your skills and attributes for success:

- Thorough understanding of social sciences and qualitative research as applied to public health.
- Experience of organising and delivering teaching on taught post graduate programmes.
- Track record of excellent research and scholarship of international impact, including the publication of peer reviewed articles in high quality journals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience of interacting with public health stakeholders
- Experience of working in an interdisciplinary context.
