Estimator - Passive Fire Protection & General

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for new enquiries.
- Collaborate with senior management to prepare final bid submissions.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Conduct on-site visits and assessments to gather crucial data for the estimation process (where necessary).
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to fire protection to ensure compliance in all estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and bid presentations as required.
- Maintain organised records of estimates, changes, and relevant project.
- Build successful working relationships with clients and internal teams.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Ability to ready and understand technical drawings.
- Proactive and Methodical way of thinking
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Financial and numeracy management skills
- Computer literate with good MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise, whilst understanding the importance of deadlines
- Applicant will ideally have minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Estimator or QS within Refurbishment / Passive Fire Protection Industry.
- Presentation and customer service skills are desired.
- Clear in-depth knowledge of regulations.
- Ability to interpret client’s requirements and understand building layouts and schematics.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
