The main provider of higher and further education across a diverse catchment area and 5 sites. your role will be vital in helping students achieve their full potential through maximising their attendance, and the opportunities presented to them in the learning environment.
- **About you **_GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- A minimum level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant area, for example, but not exclusively; Health and Social Care, youth work, sport, education, social sciences.
- 1 years’ experience of working with any of the following:

- Disadvantaged young people
- Young people previously excluded from school
- A youth work setting
- A coaching, school or mentoring setting
- Young people who are at risk of self-harm, substance abuse or anti-social behaviour
- **What you’ll do**_
The main focus of the Achievement Coach is to assist those students who may be at risk of not succeeding in their course, either due to non-attendance or other pastoral issues. You will be expected to use a raft of unobtrusive intervention strategies to help bring these students back on track, and help them get the best possible personal outcomes.
- Student mentoring, monitoring and intervention as part of the college ‘Northern Plus’ team
- Supporting the student journey from induction, on course performance, progress and progression
- Managing a caseload of students, and to work both in small, focused sessions & one to one
- Providing support to students and to set high standards for their behaviour and engagement with the college

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £22,777.00 per year
