SOME OF THE HOURS WOULD BE OCCASSIONALY AT THE WEEKEND BUT MOSTLY MID WEEK SHIFT TO HELP PREPARE FOR THE DAY OR GETTING SETTLED FOR BED AT NIGHT.

You would be required to have a Disclosure Scotland PVG for this role that will be paid for by your employer. Six months probationary and fully contracted role

RATE OF PAY £12.87 per hour day shift and £11.98 per hour nights.

Support Worker required to support a young lady on the island who finds herself a little isolated over the last few years and she hopes to open up her life and her confidence in finding her palace within her local community.

The lady is in a wheelchair and requires support when transferring so experience of moving and handling would be advantageous. Training can be given. Some personal care will be required in this post.

General household risk assessment will be required and support in light meal prep or basic cleaning and keeping the home safe will be part of your role.

The young lady is looking to be supported in way of companionship and building up a good relationship with her employee, you will be required to encourage to open up her world a little by enabling her to access things of her interest going forwards.

The young lady has her own home, she has a house cat at the moment however in the good weather there are hopes to gently allow both the young lady and the cat to sit outside and have lunch or a day in the sun. The young lady has hopes to start some gardening projects in the spring/summer, planting and cultivating flowers.

The young lady loves to read and would welcome support to go to her local library to collect and return her books. The lady enjoys films and quiz games on the TV, she also loves board games.
