Op Courage Operational Lead

Op COURAGE is a collaboration between Integrated Care Board commissioned and funded mental health and wellbeing services, NHS England commissioned services including bespoke veterans’ health services and the non-statutory sector.
Op COURAGE provides mental health care for service personnel, reservists, armed forces veterans, and their families. It was previously the umbrella term covering three services, which together formed a complete mental health care pathway that worked in conjunction with mainstream NHS services.
Op COURAGE builds on the existing statutory provision within local areas to ensure that a veteran can access a wider holistic service that brings together mental health, physical health and wellbeing provision to meet the veteran’s individual need.
Midlands Op COURAGE is a partnership of eight specialist organisations that provide an integrated service across the whole midlands region.
LPFT is the Lead provider for Midlands Op Courage, Other members of the partnership are:

The Op Courage (Midlands) Operational Lead will be responsible for operational delivery and performance of Op Courage services across the Midlands Partnership.

The post holder will line manage the service manager for LPFT Op Courage Services and be the operational point of escalation for NHS and third sector providers within the Partnership. The post holder will work alongside the Clinical Leads across the Partnership and LPFT contracting team, as well as having close links to the divisional core management team to ensure quality, people, finance and performance are all well managed and led under both the NHSE/I oversight framework and the CQC regulation process.
The post holder will, with support from LPFT contracting team, attend and represent the services within performance and contracting meetings with the commissioners, as well as at Partnership, regional and national forums where required.
The post holder will be responsible for working with the Associate Director of Operations on the development of the Partnership strategy for delivery, development and improvement of services, and then for implementing this in line with national, regional and local requirements.
The post holder will also be the Trust lead for Veterans. As a member of the Op Courage Partnership leadership team, divisional management team, and LPFT Op Courage management team, the post holder must act in line with the Trust values and will be a senior leader within the Trust.
