**Job Title**:Hospitality Supervisor

**Reporting to: Hospitality Manager**

**Overall Objectives**:To provide a professional hospitality service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met within the agreed objectives for the location. **This is a great opportunity work with our hospitality team and help really take it to a new level. We are looking for someone who wants to develop take a lead on shift and also their is great opportunities if desired to climb the career ladder with pay as you earn up to degree level. We are asked for a lot of bespoke catering so this will suit someone who has great flair and imagination. We are wanting to be the Number One Private School in the UK for Events and hospitality - So if you feel you want to join our team then please read below**

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- To work in conjunction with the Hospitality Manager
- To help control and achieve agreed financial targets, providing detailed cost analysis (including food & labour), whilst maximising all commercial opportunities.
- To arrange and conduct regular client meetings, providing a full detailed analysis of the department
- Assist the day to day running of the department, including supervising the recruitment and selection process to ensure that it effectively meets the need of the location and Holroyd Howe.
- To ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the objectives set and the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget.
- To assess employee performance and recognise training needs and potential as appropriate.
- To monitor the work of all the department staff and carry out appraisals ensuring that information is filed appropriately, with development plans that are actively used.
- To hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information.
- To always ensure compliance with the company’s policy on safer recruitment and safeguarding children and young adults whilst at work.

**Client Service**:

- To ensure that customers are given, a prompt and efficient service and that their expectations are consistently exceeded.
- To ensure that all activities are tailored to the needs of the customer, through a high level of customer liaison, with the appropriate personnel.
- To ensure all food is presented and served in line with company standards, using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service.
- To be customer focused, always, approachable, and quick to respond to the customer needs.
- To provide an accurate quotation for each event, ensuring that they are agreed before the events are confirmed and that each quote meets the financial obligations and aspirations of the school.
- To ensure the customer, is accurately invoiced after each event.
- To maintain accurate records of all activities and archive these so they are available for future reference, as best practice
- The planning, organisation, and delivery, in conjunction with the Front of House Manager, of hospitality, banqueting and letting events and initiatives for the school.
- To regularly monitor customer feedback and produce a suitable action plan based on the results.
- To produce a development and marketing plan on an annual basis.
- To ensure that you deliver what you promise to the customer, client and team.
- To ensure that all agreed service objectives are met in line with client expectations.

**People Management**:

- To assess employee performance and recognise training needs and potential as appropriate.
- To deliver and complete the 5* Banqueting and all other relevant training for all appropriate staff.
- To ensure training is carried out in line with the company training policy to meet the needs and requirements of the individual and Holroyd Howe.
- To ensure that all employees are knowledgeable and motivated about their roles and the business through effective induction, accurate job descriptions and on the job training.
- To carry out disciplinary procedures following company guidelines and standards.
- To manage the employee absence process, ensuring that all the correct procedures are followed, and the processes are completed, where necessary and accurate records are maintained.
- To develop the team by empowering them, supporting them, encouraging them, and maintaining an ‘open door’ policy.
- To motivate and lead by example, ensuring you and your team have fun at work and are proud of your efforts.
- To monitor the development and progress of key staff at location in order to make recommendations and appointments for succession planning.
- To treat your team at location as you would expect to be treated.

**Financial Management**:

- To ensure that the systems and processes are in place to deliver the financial performance as set out, in the objectives, budget and the strategic development.
