Level 3 Residential Support Worker

Salford, United Kingdom Social adVentures Full time

Are you looking to make a change? Do you want to make a difference and to have a real influence in a new and exciting venture to deliver high quality, not for profit residential children's care?

You will get:

- Lots of support (internal and external supervision)
- Enhanced training package around your interests including personal training budget
- An experienced manager who will support your development
- Excellent opportunity for progression

This is a new home, newly refurbished to a high standard with a real homely feel. It's a 3 bed EBD provision with a large garden space and modern fixtures. As a Residential Support Worker you will be key in implementing our goals and values and giving the young people at the home the best possible outcomes.

At Social adVentures we do things a little differently. We believe in people not profit and in delivering services because we really care about making a difference. We are looking for someone with a passion for making a difference to children's lives.

We are employee owned, ambitious and proud. Our staff teams are at the centre of what we do and are empowered to take ownership to lead and to develop.

Social adVentures is a social enterprise - any surplus we make goes back into the services we provide - meaning we do not compromise on quality. Originally part of the NHS, we established ourselves as an independent third sector organisation in 2010 and have been thriving ever since We deliver health and care services across Greater Manchester including social prescribing, public health contracts, mental health programmes, early years childcare, youth clubs, forest schools and much more. We specialize in providing person centred services that are high in quality and care.

So why children’s residential? Over the last 12 months we have been involved in some Greater Manchester level work to look at how residential childcare can be done differently.

We found that not for profit organisations are in the vast minority when it comes to residential childcare. We believe that profit should not be made from these sorts of care based services and that money should go back into improving the services for the children and supporting our fantastic staff teams.

So after a lot of planning, we are now ready to open our first home, we have a property and a Registered Manager and now we need you to bring it all to life.

This is a really exciting opportunity to join the Social adVentures team as we embark on a new project to open a Children’s Home in Salford.

**So what do we need from you?**

You will be passionate and caring and you will be driven by making a difference for the young people you work with.

You will want to make a change and be excited to work with a new provider who supports you in doing this.

You will be interested in personal development and also NVQ Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce Qualified.

You will believe strongly in equality and inclusion and will demonstrate this in your day to day work.

You will be able to work a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the home. This will include sleepover shifts, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas, New Year etc.

**What we can offer you**:

- Competitive salary and sleep in rates.
- Pool Cars Available
- Generous children’s budget
