Support Worker

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes in the community.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals.
- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with challenging behaviors.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial.
**Skills**:
- Compassionate and empathetic towards individuals in need of care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other support workers.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
