Credit Controller

Johnston Fuels are a family business with 13 limited companies within the group. We have been delivering fuel since 1965 with a focus on exceptional customer service.

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the Finance team at our Head Office in Bathgate.

**Main Duties**:

- This role will be supporting a high volume credit control function
- Assisting with the efficient control and collection of amounts owed to the Business
- Review and ensure credit terms are maintained and adhered to
- Query handling and resolution from customers and colleagues
- Analysing aged debt records in order to prioritise workload
- Process and monitor returned and bounced payments
- Delegation to debt collection agency
- Communication with debt collection agency, legal advisers and customer where required
- Processing card payments
- Running weekly reminder letters
- Setting up of new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Working closely with the Senior finance team to assist where necessary

**The Person**

This is an extremely varied role within a busy Accounts Department.

To be considered for the role you must:

- Possess strong customer service skills
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail, reliable and hardworking
- A strong communicator that’s able to work well within a team and help other team members when needed
- Be able to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Previous Credit Control experience is desirable
