We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Human Factors Integration (HFI) Specialist** to support Authority HFI activities within the MEWSIC project.

As the **HFI Specialist** you will be responsible for delivering Authority HFI documentation, leading the review of Contractor’s HFI documentation, chairing HFI Working Group meetings, and providing general assurance of Contractor’s HFI approach and compliance. Additionally, the **HFI Specialist** will undertake various roles as described by the Project Lead.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and deliver Authority HFI Documentation, including the HFI Plan and HFI Log, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Lead the review of Contractor’s HFI documentation, including but not limited to the HFI Plan, Task Analysis, HFI RAIDO Register, Detailed Test Specifications (Workload, Human Error, Usability, Situational Awareness), Detailed Test Reports, HFI Case Report, HFI Log, and HCI Design Specification.
- Organise and chair HFI Working Group meetings on a quarterly basis, facilitating discussions and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Support the organisation of, and attend, Contractor HFI workshops and trials, providing expertise and guidance as needed
- Attend wider project meetings as required, such as Engineering Management Meetings, representing HFI interests and providing input on human factors considerations.
- Represent HFI during commercial and requirements discussions, advocating for human factors principles and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Provide general assurance of Contractor’s HFI approach and compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Undertake additional roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Lead.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of project strategies and plans.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
- Contribute to the overall success of the project by providing expertise and support where needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in Human Factors Integration within complex engineering projects, preferably in the defence or aerospace industry.
- Experience in reviewing and evaluating technical documentation related to human factors, usability, and human-system interaction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to critically assess and analyze information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD-1472, ISO 9241, and DEF STAN 00-250.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Recent EW Knowledge and experience, along with Royal Naval background with trial planning and equipment acceptance, would be advantageous.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
