The role of the Delivery Unit Supervisor is to support the Delivery Unit Manager within the Delivery Unit in the operational running of the site. You will be the lead person on shift (nights) and supervise the sortation team, ensuring a clear operational wave plan to achieve CPU and productivity targets. The Delivery Unit Supervisor will conduct shift briefings and deliver ongoing communications to the team to deliver operational performance.

**What will you do in the role?**
- Create a clear wave plan to meet throughput and productivity targets that achieves CPU against budgeted targets
- Ensure all new sortation staff (FTE and Agency) are inducted as require in line with company policy and mandatory H&S
- Opening and (or) closing the site as required, in line with company procedures
- Conduct shift briefings and debriefings to the sortation team to provide any business updates, volume requirements and communicate a plan for the shift, including break management to engage the teams and have a highly productive workforce
- Responsible for resolving any missing or damaged parcels as required, using the team to conduct any investigations as necessary and put measures in place to reduce the damages and claims in line with targets
- Undertaking daily reporting requirements and scheduling as necessary
- Ensure daily floor walks are completed and ensure all best practice is being followed
- Responsible for the returns, collections and UP management within the delivery unit
- Be responsive to any operational demands, for example scheduling any emergency sortation resource with the Agency, if absence / no shows will affect the shift productivity and targets
- Ensure that operational procedures and general housekeeping are kept to an excellent standard
- Cover for the Delivery Unit Manager as required
**What skills/qualifications are required?**
- Good Maths and English skills written and verbal
- PC Literate of all Microsoft Office Packages, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience of Distribution Management.
- An understanding of KPI’s and how to influence them to achieve operational targets
- Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment
- Be able to use internal systems and equipment
- Motivational and excellent communication skills
- Effective communicator at all levels
- Influencing through data
