**Senior Drainage Civil Engineer**

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Drainage Civil Engineer with excellent communication skills and experience in SuDS design to join our team.

**Salary**: £48,000 - £55,000 basic + Package

**Location**: Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire

**Role Description**:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading provider of innovative civil engineering solutions and services.

You will join a team comprising experienced professionals with backgrounds in civil engineering, construction management, project development and project management.

**The Senior Drainage Civil Engineer will be responsible for the following**:

- Use SuDS analysis tools and software programs to assess the effectiveness of features in controlling surface water run-off and help to inform the design process.
- Leading a small team of engineers to prepare and optimise the design of sustainable drainage elements, including bioswales, street and verge rain gardens etc.
- Making plans using detailed drawings.
- It creates accurate project specifications.
- Creating technical reports
- Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues.
- Site selection of SuDS features and critiquing the selected sites based on their effectiveness.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in civil engineering or Degree in Engineering (BEng/Meng)
- Experience designing SuDS features such as bioswales, street rain gardens, pavements etc.
- Experience in the design and development of river and coastal engineering schemes, civil engineering and drainage schemes, and natural flood management.
- The ability to work through the stages of outline and detailed design, construction management, and handover to the client is desirable.
