Your purpose

To assist in sourcing new facilities and ensuring they are made ready for the delivery of clinical services. Ensure new and existing premises are maintained to the highest standard and, from a regulatory perspective, are fully statutory compliant.

To provide expert advice and support relating to landlord and tenant matters, supporting the Facilities and Estates team and other colleagues within the business.

How your role fits within our team

The Estates Surveyor will be accountable to the Head of Facilities and Estates, and will work closely with our Facilities Manager, across our National Estate. The Estates Surveyor will support the Facilities Manager and work closely with the Regional Estates Officer, Health and Safety Officer and the Facilities administration team.

Key responsibilities

'¢ Support the Facilities Manager, ensuring the effective delivery of hard and soft services.

'¢ Undertake regular site visits, inspections, and audits; ensuring on-going compliance and premises conditions are maintained to a high standard.

'¢ Undertake regular Workplace Risk Assessments and manage actions to a conclusion.

'¢ Identifying, evaluating, and visiting buildings to assess suitability of new premises.

'¢ Keep accurate records of expenditure.

'¢ Produce a schedule of work and prepare specifications of work.

'¢ Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.

'¢ Prepare tender documents, obtain competitive quotes, and organise effective repairs and maintenance works.

'¢ Ensure accurate records are maintained for all statutory documentation.

'¢ Produce regular reports on matters such as: statutory compliance and project progress.

'¢ Coordinate work and manage the quality of work by external companies
