Eversfield Organic is seeking a friendly and experienced production kitchen operative to join our team in Wincanton.

**Who are we?**

Eversfield Organic is a fast-growing, sustainable organic food retailer with a successful e-commerce nationwide delivery service and a growing number of farm shops and hospitality venues. Our family-run farm in Devon, has been farming and delivering organic produce for over 20 years.

Last year we launched our “Home Farm Kitchen” range; a selection of delicious organic products made to small batch recipes at our production kitchen in Wincanton. Products we produce in house include organic bone broths, stocks, ready meals, pies, pasties, pastries and cakes, quiches, fermented foods and chutneys, relishes and preserves.

**The Role in Detail**

Our Kitchen Operatives follow weekly production schedules accordingly to produce our range of organic food products to the highest standard. These high-quality products are available exclusively at our Eversfield Organic farm shops and nationwide from our online store.

All necessary training for recipes, new products, safe operation of production machinery, and code of safe conduct will be provided.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Report to the Production Kitchen Supervisor, who will liaise with the team on production schedules and weekly planning.
- Meet weekly targets and achieve smooth day-to-day operation.
- Operate a range of commercial kitchen machinery to produce recipes to exact guidelines meeting our high standards of quality and consistency.
- Assist in the packaging and labelling of finished products in a consistent, hygienic, and efficient manner
- Communicate the ordering of ingredients, packaging for the production kitchen and packaging area with the Production Kitchen Supervisor.
- Follow and maintain company food safety policies, operating in a consistently clean and hygienic manner that meets the standard of a 5-star food hygiene rating.
- Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the kitchen and team in meeting quality and performance targets.
- Carry out any reasonable task requested of you to meet the needs of the business

**Experience Required**
- A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a food manufacturing role or 2 years prior experience in a Chef role to a CDP level or higher.
- Knowledge and experience of operating within a food manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in a commercial cookery environment is essential.
