We are recruiting for Production Operatives to join Griffith Foods at their site in Wincanton on a permanent contract. The company are looking for workers to join their team who are looking for a long term career, and are eager to learn and progress. If you have any previous experience working with food or in a production setting, i.e. chef, catering assistant, food production operative etc. this would be really beneficial for the role.

**What will you be doing?**

As a Production Operative you will maintain the efficient and safe running of assigned production lines. As part of your role you will ensure that production lines are set up and running procedures are adhered to at all times whilst maintaining excellent product quality, and working together to meet operational KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).

It’s a varied role, and you’ll be doing a number of different tasks such as weighing, mixing, packing ingredients and finished products, and operating key machinery. There is a full development plan on offer which will give you the opportunity of progression as you learn more skills with us.

Due to the nature of the role it can be physically demanding. It calls for frequent manual handling of products so it helps if you are reasonably fit.

**Hours**:
The factory operates on a weekly alternating shift pattern, so you must be able to work 39 hours per week on the following rotating shifts:

- Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pM/Friday 6am - 1pm
- Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pM/Friday 1pm - 8pm

**Salary**:
Starting rate of £11.00 per hour (£10.50 per hour + £0.50 per hour shift allowance). There is opportunity for pay progression after completion of your training to £11.50 per hour.
