After School Assistant

The role is for an evening assistant in an early years setting, caring for children aged 0-5 years

Hours: 4pm - 6pm Monday - Thursday

Purpose: To supervise & support children with their play providing high quality of care.

Responsible to: room leader/manager
- To maintain a safe and stimulating play environment and to assist with children development
- Support children on daily outings to the park/play area
- preparing engaging activity bags for children to explore on their outings.
- Communicate with children, encouraging their speech and their independence
- To carry out any other duties, requested by your manager/team leader
- setting up activities for the following day
- assisting with children self care/ nappy changes
- report any concerns to your manager/ designated safeguarding officer
- To undertake appropriate training and development activities

This role requires you to hold a Disclosure and barring service certificate ( this can be requested through the nursery)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
