**About the Role**

The Head of Finance is a significant senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Places for London and effectively acting as a deputy within the CFO function. This role will have responsibility for technical accounting compliance within Places for London and will act as a direct senior link to TfL Central Finance, as well as lead the provision of a business focused financial service for Places for London.

You will be creating and delivering the management, development and effective use of the risk and control framework to minimise risk, ensure compliance and provide an accurate finance management service. You will lead the critical task of managing budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, optimising resource allocation and elevating overall financial performance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyse financial trends and assess risks for continual improvement.

This is a key senior leadership role, where you will lead a team of skilled finance professionals and be accountable for all outputs, to maximise financial and business performance. You will have the skill and capability to drive and motivate the team to be behind the vision and deliver the best they can. You will also establish and nurture relationships as well as streamline processes and deliver services to our key stakeholders, including leadership at Exec and Board level and regulatory bodies.

**About You**

With a good understanding and experience of property, this role gives you the opportunity to cultivate innovative ideas, shape a vision and bring it to fruition.

You will have proven experience in a senior finance role, demonstrating a track record of successful financial leadership. A deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles and reporting standards is required. Your exceptional analytical and leadership skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights, will set you apart.

With your exceptional planning and organisational skills and demonstrating the ability to create and optimise processes effectively, you will thrive in a dynamic environment and excel at streamlining workflows. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will be required to build strong relationships with numerous stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Relevant professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA (or equivalent) are preferred.
