**Position Summary**:
We have a vacancy for a Production Planner & Scheduler to joiner our team based in Swindon. Reporting to the Operations manager this role is responsible for planning the utilisation of both Gamma plants and the daily office functions. The main purpose of this role is to Plan and Schedule both plants (Tote & Batch) to meet customer, quality, regulatory and safety requirements, whilst maximising processing efficiency and scheduling. Provide support to the site as part of a dedicated team and to embrace the core values of STERIS AST.

**Duties**:
Principal Duties include:
To schedule and plan the plants with the aim of achieving specification in line with the performance qualification standards, satisfying customer requirements in terms of on-time delivery, Customer satisfaction and first pass yield whilst maximising plant efficiency in co-operation with the site Operations Manager and maintenance team.
2. Ensure that the daily schedules for both plants are distributed to the shop floor by 16:30 daily.
3. Translating the Sales, Operation Plan (S&OP) into process able products that make up the output from the processing facility, Defining short / midterm processing planning at item level. Working closely with the validation Technician to ensure products fit within the site core business portfolio.
4. Deputise for operations Manager in relation to Customer service, Co-ordination and order management
5. Measure actual performance against the S&OP and processing plan, support the labour requirements planning for the shifts on week to week basis.
6. Monitor flow of product through the plant, highlighting areas where backlogs exist and working with the Site Supervisor to ensure these constraints are resolved in a timely manner.
7. Review & maintain Swindon master data and lead the monthly Masterplan calls with the appropriate members of the Commercial Team.
8. Support and actively participate in the site’s Continuous improvement culture.
9. Actively monitor and measure site Service levels (OTD and Right First Time)
10. Actively monitor and manage order management, ERP system housekeeping (ODMS)
11. Responsible for adhering to area quality standards and maintaining related QMS actions.
12. Responsible for the scheduling aspects of non-conformance investigations
13. Perform annual processing review, leading the annual meeting
14. Attend and support daily PIT meetings when possible
15. Take an active part in Kaizen activities and undertake projects as and when required.
16. To perform any reasonable additional tasks as required by Site Management

**Required Experience**:
Minimum 5 GCSE’s including maths and English
Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field
S&OP qualified

Use of Microsoft office tools for communication & reporting with particular skills in Excel
