Hotel Receptionist

The Heritage Park Hotel is located at the head of the Rhondda Valleys, The Heritage Park boasts 43 bedrooms and conference event facilities and onsite lounge bar and Loft Restaurant

We have an onsite restaurant, bar, gym facilities and function spaces.

We have 43 en-suite bedrooms available

We currently require a hotel receptionist to work as part of a small team.

This role will require you to perform various tasks that are essential to the successful daily operations of a hotel's front desk including but not limited to:

- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
- Check guests out, accept and process payments by cash, card or other method
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures
- Be positive, friendly and helpful with all hotel guests, developing a good rapport and be empowered to resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service.
- Deal with all hotel reservations, cancellations and adjustments via various online portals

Upsell room rates and maximise upselling opportunities to ensure increase in average room rate and revenue per available room. Performance of sales and upselling room rates will be target driven.
- Work as part of a team with colleagues and other departments in a well-organised and systematic way in order to deliver excellent quality and service
- Ensure the Hotel Management are kept fully aware of relevant guest feedback
- Promote and sell the hotel and its products, services

The shifts are as follows

5 shifts out of 7 a week to include weekends and bank holidays

Early Shift 7am till 3pm /Late Shift 2.30pm-10.30pm

Night Shift cover maybe required to cover annual leave night shift is paid increase rate and night shift is 10pm to 7am

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
