Your role as a Finance Business Partner, Portfolio Financial Planning & Analysis, will be to partner across the Group Tech & Digital Finance team in Southampton. You’ll act as a key business partner to members of the leadership team and their teams by leading the finance activities around the Projects Portfolio (Tech project investment significantly exceeding £100m per year). You will also be responsible for interpreting and presenting financial information to key partners, providing value advice & challenge.

What's the job?:
**What you’ll be doing**:

- Business Partner three Tech Directors
- FP&A activity on the Projects Portfolio to ensure spend on projects is accurately reported and forecasted
- Responsible for significant annual portfolio investment, working with the Kingfisher Group Investment Committee
- Designing value reporting for analysts to develop and run, supported by two Analysts in our team based in Krakow
- Work in partnership with the Strategy & Transformation Director as the function goes through transformation
- Understand the drivers of the IT cost base to allow early visibility of spend variances and provide commercial and cost challenge to the business
- Make Group Tech costs visible and transparent in a clear ‘non-financial’ manner to identify actions to drive opportunities and mitigate risks, plus understand any risks/opportunities to deliver required financial targets
- Provide the first stage review of business cases for Group Tech projects, linking these through to budgets and forecasts as well as post investment reviews
- Support the development of consistent processes across all Portfolio areas to ensure a standardised approach to any consolidated financial view
- Provide support to ad hoc initiatives around the portfolio, improving the governance and control environment around planning
- Actively drive the Portfolio 3YP and budgeting cycle

What we need:
**What experience you’ll bring**:

- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
- Experience in finance business partnering
- A phenomenal relationship builder and challenging where appropriate
- Strong ability to interpret financial information and deploy it optimally across the business
- A proactive approach to driving efficiencies and improvements across teams
- Dynamic and forward-thinking individual
- Budget & forecasting experience
- Power BI experience
- Advanced financial modelling and forecasting to build and produce different scenarios and analysis, for example within a Commercial finance function
- Technical accounting, especially around capital investment
