**What will you be doing**:
We have great opportunity for a Buyer to join our Hamble team.

You will be responsible for the purchasing of products and services in support of business operations, mainly within the Facilities Management team and Consumables; obtaining quotes from vendors, negotiating price, terms, and lead time, creating purchase orders, tracking orders to ensure on time delivery to meet organisational requirements through development of business relationships and strategic partners.

This will include partnering with finance and stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions are in the best interest of CooperVision. Contract negotiation where required, contract writing and working with legal teams, and review of contracts.

We have great opportunity for a Buyer to join our Fareham team based at Delta Park. You will be responsible for the purchasing of products and services in support of business operations, mainly within the Facilities Management team and Consumables; obtaining quotes from vendors, negotiating price, terms, and lead time, creating purchase orders, tracking orders to ensure on time delivery to meet organisational requirements through development of business relationships and strategic partners.

**What are we looking for?**

We’re looking for someone with good knowledge and experience of working within a purchasing and sourcing environment. Gained within a similar role, from within either a manufacturing, medical devices, packaging and/or distribution industry. Experience with Oracle, Agile or BAAN is ideal. Intermediate level in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Able to work with inventory levels and manage supply requirements, SOW’s, tenders and process. With an excellent level of supplier and stakeholder relationship management.

You should have a good level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with contract negotiation, contract writing, review of contracts, and understanding of contract law is required.

Professional qualification/certification or Bachelors’ degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business is ideal, or good level of experience gained within in a Purchasing role as above.

**What will you be doing**:
**Essential responsibilities**:

- Plan purchases against business requirements and establish appropriate inventory levels/services to ensure continuity of supply.
- Establish, develop and maintain effective supplier relationships and hold regular review meetings with suppliers covering performance (delivery, quality) and opportunities for savings and innovation.
- Participate in Tender processes/RFPs as required.
- Undertake routine purchase order administration (order placement, receipt, invoice approval), investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Vendor selection, development and management, negotiating with the vendor.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and lead projects to realize these.
