Sawman / Labourer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Sawman / Labourer**to join our team based in **Sheffield**. This is a full-time, permanent role and in return, you will receive a**competitive salary, plus benefits.**

**FVC**primarily serves the industrial gas turbine and aerospace industries, as well as markets with highly engineered component requirements. Using horizontal and vertical centrifugal castings, our skilled engineers create a vast range of near net shape products in more than 70 alloys, including high nickel alloys.**

**About the role**:
As our **Sawman / Labourer**, you will work in our busy m/c shop, working a rotational pattern of days and nights, Monday to Thursday with the potential of overtime on Fridays. We are looking for an individual who has a good work ethic and is willing to learn new skills.

**Principle Accountabilities of our Sawman / Labourer include**:

- Sawing feed heads, tubes, and test pieces to required dimensions on a variety of various saws- Movement of castings to and from the machine shop- Removal and segregation of scrap from machines- Weighing and identifying of scrap prior to revert- Reverting Storage- Blasting of Product- General Site Duties and Housekeeping- Coolant management- Working safely throughout all activities in line with FVC’s safety standards and procedures
**The successful Sawman / Labourer will be able to demonstrate the following**:

**Desirable**:

- Basic H&S Cert- Basic Environmental Cert/training- Manual Handling experience- Pendant Crane, Lifting & Slinging experience- Experience of modern manufacturing techniques
