**Purpose**
To work under the instruction of the Fire Control Manager, collating the findings and assigning and recording the remedial actions, generated from Fire Risk Assessments carried out by others.
Carry out site Fire Management documentation audits, as instructed and programmed by the line manage, to assist the Fire Control Manager with their overall responsibilities in demonstrating SPUK compliance with Fire Legislation.
Assist with delivering SPUK Fire Management services and governance at locations and frequency as identified by the Fire Control Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Communicate with internal sites managers and SFLOs on behalf of the Fire Control Manager and provide legislative knowledge as required
- Assist the Fire Control Manager with attendance at sites where Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans have been invoked.
- Requirement to engage with Enforcing Authorities and auditors on behalf of SPUK Fire Control Manger as required, to share information and to be aware of local changes to ways of working.
- Provide assistance to the Fire Control Manager to ensure Fire Legislation compliance across SPUK
- Provide assistance with the management of a web portal system to track Fire Risk Assessments carried out, across SPUK, by others.
- Provide assistance with carrying out Fire Management audits across SPUK as directed by Fire Control Manager
- Provide assistance with non
- technical aspects of Corporate Security Fire Management projects when required
- Attend Fire Risk Assessment recommendation review meetings and report status update to Fire Control Manager
- Audit on site documentation to ensure that appropriate maintenance is being carried out for fire systems in accordance with planned maintenance programmes and report any failings to Fire Control Manager
**Skills and Requirements**
- Understanding and knowledge of current Fire Legislation
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and fire protection technology
- Knowledge or experience in Risk Assessments
- Stakeholder Management experience
- Excellent IT skills
- Preferred knowledge or understanding of electronic data bases
- Good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Pro - active approach to problem solving
- Confidence and ability to constructively challenge at all levels
- Fire Management qualifications an advantage
- Good communication skills at various levels
- Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent
**Minimum Criteria**
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent influencing skills
- In depth knowledge of Fire Legislation
- Current full driving licence
