Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team Lead

Your job clinically will be to provide expert clinical advice/ second opinions, intervention and management for a specialist caseload, including (but not limited to) Children/Young people with neurodiversity and limited function means of communication (including AAC). You will also be responsible for dysphagia management of a caseload (full training and competencies support will be provided). There is scope for you to identify possible areas of Clinical Specialism which you might be interested in. You will work closely with the established team and that of other Health, Education and Social care practitioners with a range of community, inpatient and outpatient settings.
Applicants should have extensive experience of working with paediatrics in a Clinical capacity and experience working with complex communication difficulties, including providing second opinions, training and advice to other registered practitioners. Experience in Team leader responsibilities would be desirable; full supervision will be provided alongside leadership training opportunities. We are able to offer this post as a development opportunity if applicants do not have the essential criteria, in which case full support would be provided and we would expect that competencies would be developed within 12 months.
