**Grants Officer
- Tameside (maternity cover)**

**Purpose of the Post**

To help local Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) groups to get the investment they need through the grants we distribute and highlighting other external funds.

To work with the Systems Change Manager to develop new investment streams as they arise.
- Understands local VCFSE organisations, the issues they face, and the role that grant investment plays in their delivery.
- Understands the opportunities and limitations of grant investment, and the need for robust, clear processes and can implement these, whilst being as flexible as possible to get the money where it is most needed.
- Can advocate on behalf of groups and projects providing a balanced overview of the grant submissions to decision makers.
- Is organised and able to get results within time and budget constraints.

**Salary**: NJC Grade 6 scale point 19 (£27,852 per annum)

**Hours**: 36 hours per week

**Length of contract**: 12 months fixed term maternity cover

**Location**:Tameside/Hybrid
