Junior Accountant role within a forward thinking, digital accountancy practice, offering excellent progression opportunities to kickstart your career. They are an honest and hardworking practice, that have been in operation since 2018. They are an advisory led practice, focused on building an ecosystem of assets, that they can leverage for the benefit of their clients.
They are a digital first practice, with the whole team using the Google Drive, where they collaboratively work on documents. The accounting team uses Karbon, and Ignition is used for onboarding new clients. Other systems include, Hubdoc, Approval Max, Unleashed, A2X, BarTab, Swoop, Telleroo, Xero, and more.
Lots of training can be provided on all the above systems, as they look to grow the right candidate in their growing business, including study support. The ideal candidate will be studying ACCA or ACA, and have some previous accountancy practice experience.
Junior Accountant Position Overview
Payroll
Completing payroll reports and entering data
Managing payroll and pensions
Bookkeeping and Data Entry:
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
Input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Serving as a company sectorial
VAT returns
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and prepare payments for approval.
Assist in generating client invoices, monitoring receivables, and following up on outstanding balances.
Financial Reporting:
Support in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with variance analysis and other financial reporting tasks as assigned.
Administrative Assistance:
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
Assist in scheduling appointments, answering phones, and responding to client inquiries.
Managing and remaining in contact with the outsourcing team based in India, who complete a large portion of data input. In charge of reviewing this data
Junior Accountant Position Requirements
Studying ACA or ACCA, part qualified
At least 1 years experience working in accountancy practice
Happy with fully in office work
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
UK working visa, and UK resident
Junior Accountant Position Remuneration
Salary dependent on experience ranging from £24k-30k
Private medical after 1 year of service
Statutory sick pay, standard 28 days holiday, and standard pension
Study support
Working on the latest technology, all work is done on macs
