**About the role**

As a Direct Payments & Individual Funds Officer, you will play a key role in providing support to residents who are in receipt of direct payments.

The work of the team is varied, you will provide comprehensive advice, guidance and, support to residents, social care teams, providers, service users, and outside agencies ensuring client confidentiality at all times in accordance with Direct Payments guidance and policies.
- Set up direct payments, provide information on options to help individuals manage the scheme.
- Participate in completing financial monitoring of direct payments spend, closing finished accounts, processing changes using Adult Social Care systems (Liquidlogic).
- Support the team to provide advice information, deal with queries and provide support to recipients of direct payments and people supporting them.

**Ideal skills, experience, and awareness**

Direct payments / working within social care / ability to advise members of the public and service users
