**Job Purpose**

Completing the cleaning & sanitizing of machines, production rooms and plant buildings to required HSE, Food Safety, Service & Cost standards.

Working with the Quality & Hygiene Technologist, Production Shift Manager, and Production Operators to manage food-contact and environmental (general areas) surface cleaning with the production teams. Working with external contractors to maintain site services as required.

Working with teams to ensure external yard cleaning and environmental monitoring requirements for site adhered to.

**Key Accountabilities**

HSE
- Accountable for adhering to Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
- Works with the Production Manager and Quality & Hygiene Technologist to achieve KPI Targets and follows internal systems and methods of working, ensuring compliance with company policy including COSHH.
- Safe storage and usage of chemicals in accordance with COSHH and HAZOP regulations.
- Escalates any near miss or accidents to the site HSE Manager.
- Assists in ensuring contractors adhere to Safe Systems of work and have permits for work.
- Safe use and storage of cleaning equipment.

Food Safety / Quality
- Accountable for adherence to procedures (Cleaning Instruction cards).
- Follows Hygiene systems that comply with internal and customer expectations within area.
- Ensures records and sign offs are completed to comply with internal and customer requirements.

Service
- Delivers service outcomes to production within the area of responsibility against KPI’s, specifically the OTIF delivery of plant and equipment post cleaning for the area, ie. the ownership to deliver a clean factory to hand over to Production.
- Completion of activities to maintain OTIF delivery against plan.
- Escalates issues to Quality and Hygiene Technologist & Production Manager to request resource and assistance to ensure delivery of OTIF.

Training and Education
- Work in adherence to training procedures.
- Highlights gaps in own skills to Managers and Quality & Hygiene Technologist.
