RSR are currently recruiting for** Criminal Justice Administrator
Working within the Postal Requisition and Biometrics Team you will provide a high quality administrative service to internal and external partners, including the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS) and the Courts. Working within force and departmental guidelines towards the aims and objectives of the department and the organisation. You will prepare Postal Requisition documents, process electronic case files and digital media and be the first line contact in answering and resolving day to day queries and problems with mínimal referral to team leaders.
You will also be required to communicate with defendants verbally and in writing when progressing their Biometric Appointments liaising with external forces and other business partners, including the responsibility for maintaining the appointment diaries across all custody suites. You will need to have a good standard of education and recent experience of working in an administrative role with relevant experience of partner agency working, together with proven written and verbal communication skills. The ability to use your own initiative and problem solve within a team environment, whilst maintaining attention to detail is essential together with proven time management and organisational skills. The ability to travel is considered essential as you may have to travel to different locations.

**Work hours**: Full time - Hybrid
Week 1 - 9-5 Monday to Friday
Week 2 - 7-3 Monday to Friday and 7-4pm on a Saturday
Week 3 - 7-3 Monday to Wednesday on Thursday 7-12pm and then RD on Friday.
3.5% shift allowance

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Prepare Postal Requisitions and Voluntary Attendance case files and digital media to a consistently high quality standard, ensuring work is accurate and delivered within required timescales.
- Booking of the Biometrics end-to-end process, maintaining the Custody diary for Offender attendance, ensuring compliance, and maintaining current working practices in line with ongoing changes to legislation.
- Be the first line contact in answering and resolving day-to-day queries and problems with minimum referral to Team Leaders.
- Provide appropriate information on disclosure, treating each case individually on its own merits, ensuring information only released to relevant parties within the confines of the Data Protection Act and other legislation.
- Contribute to the efficiency of information by entering, updating, retrieving case file information using appropriate systems and databases. Ensure that they are accurately maintained and processed within the agreed timeframes.
- Provide a consistently high quality customer service, challenging working practises and making recommendations for improvement, whilst continually working towards the aims and objectives of the department and the organisation.
- Process and prepare any additional documentation as required and according to all relevant multi agency Service Level Agreements.
- Liaise closely with internal and external agencies/customers including Defence Solicitors, Offenders and Custody.
- Assist other areas of CJ teams in all functions ensuring that the teams and departments are supported and the service delivery is maintained.
- Review own workloads daily and prioritise to ensure deadlines/targets are met.
**Essential**
- Good standard of education with GCSEs (Grade 9-4/A-C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Recent experience of working in an administrative role within a customer service environment, including use of databases.
- Proven ability to use own initiative and problem solve within a team environment to make effective decisions within tight time constraints.
- Proven time management and organisational skills to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to pay attention to detail, producing accurate work.
- Proven ability of clear and concise written and verbal communication with proven interpersonal skills.
- Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential
