We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail & Customer Service Supervisor to join our management team at Discover Hastings.

**Discover Hastings - Retail and Customer Service Supervisor - Purpose**
- To be approachable, knowledgeable, and engaging when looking after our customers.
- Leading your team to deliver a memorable experience.
- To ensure all stock ordering, purchase orders, invoices and performance reports are delivered accurately to a timeframe and completed as per company requirements.
- Maintaining gift shop display and merchandising standards across our two sites to maximise sales opportunities, through the use of upselling and seasonal promotions.
- As part of the management team, you will be required to be part of the Duty Manager function on a rota basis.

**The Key Duties Include**

**Retail & Stock Reporting**
- You will oversee the retail gift shop operation across all Discover Hastings sites, ensuring all stock, signage and merchandising are delivered to the highest of standards.
- To deliver on commercial targets; inclusive of revenue income, cost of sales, wastage and staffing costs.
- To analyse sales figures to inform merchandising decisions and forecast future sales to plan stock levels to maximise profits.
- To continue to work collaboratively with Aspro UK central retail team on all aspects of retail operation and deliver best practice techniques.
- To manage the storerooms efficiently, monitoring and controlling stock levels, records, rotation, and supply/delivery.
- To manage the purchasing of retail stock and supplies, reacting to change in demand and logistics.
- To monitor and control stock quantities and waste.
- Utilising retail/stock management software to raise purchase orders, record deliveries and stock movements to ensure all stock is secure and accounted for on our systems.
- Manage and reconcile quarterly retail stock takes, inclusive of discrepancy investigation and resolution. To also assist with monthly catering stock takes.
- To complete various financial reports to specific monthly and weekly deadlines, inclusive of departmental performance reviews.

**General Management**
- To manage and motivate Guest Experience staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- To plan rotas effectively to meet all operational needs of the business.
- Taking accountability for overall department’s (Retail) performance and achieving set targets and goals.
- To be responsible for ordering change, managing safe floats and completing banking.
- To ensure end-of-day closing checks are completed.
- To be an effective communicator, representing the overall business in a positive light.
- To ensure all new starters are set up for success via a thorough induction and ongoing training and development.
- To be responsible for personal development, continually seeking to develop own skills and contribute to the success of the overall business.

**About You**
- You will be enthusiastic for all things retail, with a passion and drive for results.
- You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, excel in all areas of customer service, enjoy challenging situations and able to create a positive and innovative working atmosphere.
- You will have experience leading a team within a retail or guest-facing environment.
- You will have proficient IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & retail stock/back-of-house systems.
- You will have knowledge and work experience of controlling retail stock; from ordering, recording deliveries, merchandising to selling to our customers.
