- GI Group are looking for an experienced Press Break Settler/Operator based in Saint Annes.
- Job details:

- Monday to Thursday
- 6PM - 6 AM
- Day Rate: £15 per hour
- Night Rate: £18 per hour
- For this role you will be working individually and on occasions as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
- Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production,

quality and H&S issues.- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE

General Requirements- Previous experience of working in engineering sheet metal production, setting and operating CNC

press-brakes- Regular quality checks
- Following internal processes
- Completing paperwork
- Understanding of basic IT

Qualifications/Courses/Experience:
- Previous experience of Trumpf machines
- Previous experience of using measuring equipment
- Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
- Understanding of Engineering drawings

Essential Skills:
- Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines

and demands- Strong problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Operational Fault Finding and problem solving
- Work independently and part of a team.
- Manual dexterity
- Demonstrate commercial awareness
- Manage self, working/assisting colleagues obtaining their involvement and buy in
- Effective contribution
