**ROLE**:Court of Protection Paralegal

**SALARY**:£27,500

**LOCATION**:London Bridge

**THE ROLE**

As a Paralegal you will work with a team in the Court of Protection department, working in a team of Partners, Solicitors, and paralegals. This role is for an initial contract of 2 years but can be extended.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**

Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:

- To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients.
- To assist where requested the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision. Take notes in client meetings.
- Attend clients at hospitals, care homes and in their home.
- Make regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments. Also forecast forward spending and creating of budgets.
- Day to day contact with clients and their individual lifestyle requirements.
- Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties
- Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate.
- Work as a part of a team under the supervision of a Partner of the firm.
- May also receive cases from several Partners and solicitors within the team.
- Provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients.
- Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual.
- Continue to develop your legal ability

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in Law and previous experience of working in a Court of Protection role.
- Studying for LPC or already have an LPC or SQE1.

Flexible and proactive approach with 'can do’ attitude

Excellent oral and written communication skills
