We are looking for an experienced paralegal to join our Court of Protection and Mental Health team. You should have a continuous minimum of 1 year experience in at least one of the two areas. Your duties will include:


  • taking initial enquiries
  • travelling to hospitals and care homes to obtain initial instructions
  • completing legal aid applications
  • providing advice under supervision
  • obtaining instructions on medical reports
  • drafting legal documents
  • preparing court bundles
  • accurate time recording
  • keeping files tidy and organised


Experience required:


  • At least 1 year continuous experience in Mental Health or Court of Protection Law as a Paralegal
  • LEAP case management software
  • applying for legal aid funding
  • running your own mental health caseload under supervision


Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm. Hybrid working.

Salary: negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus.
