Finance Assistant

Alexander Lloyd is proud to be partnering with an instantly recognisable brand in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team on a permanent basis.
This is a hybrid role where you will work 3 days out of the Crawley office and 2 days from home. A broad role, your duties will include but not be limited to;
- Being the help desk for employee queries
- Managing the staff expenses mailbox
- Processing claims and posting the extract file
- Analysing the G/L selection & appropriate VAT treatment in submitted claims
- Raising bi-monthly personal expenses BACS runs
- Calculating and posting monthly company credit card accruals & update actuals
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the Finance Manager during Audit
Ideally, you will;
- Be studying towards or fully qualified AAT
- Have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
- Have previous experience in managing staff expenses and a good understanding of VAT & double-entry bookkeeping skills
- Experience in banking/cashiering - dealing with cash
- Good verbal and written communication skills
In return, you'll be paid a salary of up to £25,00 (DOE) alongside a list of benefits including life assurance and 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays on top.
