OBM are currently recruiting for an Onshore Drilling Materials Co-Ordinator on long-term contract for our Operator client based in Aberdeen. The role will be Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

**Job Summary**:

- Management of the co-ordination of material required to service the demand from the business in line with the Integrated Activity Plan of Drilling and Completions.
- In conjunction with the Procurement Team Lead, oversee the material co-ordination processes to optimise use of current inventory holdings.
- Ensure material co-ordination activities have limited impact on inventory holding levels to ensure alignment with the inventory strategy of “right sizing”. - Continuous inventory review, optimization, stock counting and reconciliations, ensure inventory data changes are timely and accurate.
- Manage a continuous improvement programme focused on the optimisation of process and logistics resources in relation to material co-ordination in order to eliminate process waste and drive down cost.

**Responsibilities**:
**Financial**:

- Oversight of financial value of inventory and all associated material management costs.
- Effectively manages resources and, through a continuous improvement mindset, identifies opportunities to minimise waste and reduce costs.
- Manages financial approvals in SAP in line with delegation of authority levels ensuring the appropriate level of scrutiny is applied.

**Technical/Functional**:

- Primary SCM material and inventory contact with Drilling and Completion with reference to Material and Service requirements.
- Co-ordinate the materials and logistics activities with the offshore DMC, Shorebase Logistics Co-ordinator, ensuring all activities are completed to the highest standards.
- Ensure the provision of operational support, including planning and scheduling of 3rd party equipment/services, to satisfy the approved D&C activity plan requirements.
- Effective and efficient scheduling, expediting and reporting of long lead equipment in support of the company's drilling and completion operations.
- Accountable for the availability of Drilling Stock for each well recorded in SAP and Tangible registers.
- Ensures rental and Service requirements are recorded in SAP ensuring accurate cost and material tracking.
- Ensures assemblies fabricated from Tangible items are accurately recorded.
- Ensures accurate recording of inventory and equipment within each JV and to ensure correct partner billing.
- Attendance at Daily Rig Operations Meeting ensures any changes to well requirements are captured and resolved.
- Gathering and analysing well information during Drilling Operations ensuring any changes in Programmes are identified, and tangible and service requirements changed as necessary.
- Long term planning with regard to evolving Rig Line, organising and attending planning/operations meetings within D&C.
- Planning for all long lead tangible equipment for all drilling units, as per current rig plan.
- Implement annual disposal programmes and act as the key interface between Supply Chain Management and D&C to drive desired results.
- Develop and execute the annual stock counting programme for all material and assesses all third-party storage locations to identify consolidation opportunities while working in conjunction with the business to realise opportunities.
- Ensure the highest level of compliance against all published standards and processes held within CPEL. Identify improvements to enhance the business and commercial rewards of the Company and suppliers.

**Temporary/ Transition**:

- Requisitioning Tangible Materials and detailing requirements in SAP requisitions and SAP Project Builder. Perform purchasing / service requisitioning responsibilities to satisfy the approved D&C activity plan requirements.
- Identify all Rental and Service requirements for specific well programmes and ensure all requirements are recorded in SAP, generating Limit Service Orders for all suppliers.
- Production of Well tangible register per well. Including all tangible items, SAP, and PO numbers.
- Ensure that all purchasing documentation is completed and purchasing requests are approved in line with internal authority guidelines.

**Minimum Competencies**:

- Extensive understanding of the oil and gas industry with experience of Inventory Management and Material Management working practices.
- Understands industry best practice in Materials Management and seeks to introduce new strategic thinking into the role.
- Knowledge of Drilling and Completion materials and operations.
- Familiar with SAP transactions in MM.
- Highly effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, as well as presentation skills.
- Conducts business in an ethical manner and builds relationships based on collaboration and respect.
