We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and caring Senior Physiotherapy Assistant for a position within our stroke physiotherapy team at the Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough. The stroke team provides Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients on the 14 bedded Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and the 26 bedded Stroke Unit.
Physiotherapy Assistants work as part of a team and have a key role to play in the smooth running of the physiotherapy service and the rehabilitation of patients, assisting them reach their full potential.
The part time post is 22.5 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday), with participation in the weekend rota.
The role will include direct clinical patient care, working alongside and under the supervision of qualified Physiotherapists. At times, the post holder will be expected to be able to work independently following treatment plans initiated by Physiotherapists. There will also be a requirement to do some administrative tasks, monitoring of stock and reduction of infection risk by cleaning and maintenance of some equipment.
