**Job overview**:
The Manchester Centre of Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN) is one of the busiest Neuroscience Units in the UK with outstanding clinical care given to patients across a range of conditions. It includes the specialities of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Stroke Medicines, Spinal Surgery and Neuro-psychology. The MCCN is based at Salford Care Organisation and this is the centre for Adult Neurosciences.

This is an exciting post to work within the division of MCCN to provide administrative support to the Assistant Director's of Nursing and the senior nursing team.

**Main duties of the job**:
To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Assistant Directors of Nursing for the division of Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences. The main purpose of the job is to ensure that in carrying out their key responsibilities they are supporting the effective and efficient running of the division alongside the senior nursing team in order to meet the divisional objectives and those of the organisation.

- Demonstrable office experience developing secretarial and data management skills to NVQ 3 level.

- Training in Office systems

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Previous hospital experience
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills
- Ability to analyse system issues and recommend solutions
- Good organisational skills

**Desirable criteria**:

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office. Working knowledge of Trust systems eg, Datix
- Experience in change management
