EC have an opportunity for a Workshop Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Scenic workshop in bringing our creative designs to life. Creating everything from customised sets and stages, exhibition stands, furniture, pop-up shops and large/small props of every kind.

**Who are you?**
- You’re calm under pressure; a lot of our installations have tight deadlines.
- You’re a strong communicator, both in person and in written content
- You’re a proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on your initiative in a constantly changing and pressurised environment and fast-developing company.
- You have a can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and progress within the Scenic dept.
- Previous experience within a scenic build team is preferable but not essential.
- You have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- You care about the planet and are interested in finding more sustainable ways of doing things. You’re committed to our 2030 Pledge.

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Assist the construction team and freelance carpenters to fulfil the tasks of the day i.e. painting.
- Quality check projects before dispatch to ensure the highest levels of finish.
- Working with the Workshop Manager on Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and workflow.
- Work with the scenic team to help the company reach its sustainability goals, specifically on reducing waste and reducing the use of single-use plastic from our workflow.
- Keep all work and project-related information confidential and act professionally at all times.
- Identify any areas of our operation where you believe training and additional skills may be required or benefit yourself or the business.
- Provide feedback to the Line Manager on any areas of improvement, development, or growth of the business identified.
- Keeping the scenic workshop clean and tidy.
- Be aware of and comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy. Ad hoc duties as and when required.
