**About the Company**:
A small/medium Hertfordshire based main contractor established for over 20 years, currently working on domestic and commercial refurbishment/alteration projects across the Home Counties and North London. CSBD has an excellent reputation with our clients for delivering high quality work within specific deadlines. As part of our continued development we are looking to recruit a Part Time Administration Assistant to work with as part of team to provide administrative support. We are an office team of 8 people with a strong team emphasis.

**Job Purpose**

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Answering incoming calls and directing them to the right person or department or assisting with the enquiry if able to.
- Diary management to include arranging appointments for the Contracts Managers and/or Estimator
- Ensuring site paperwork is up-to-date for invoice preparation.
- Research and purchase of materials and products required for sites.
- Log and monitor site plant movements
- Recording new estimate and job records on internal database, and creation of paper file.
- To ensure the Database is kept up-to-date with accurate information as works progress in respect of jobs and estimations.
- Compile Health & Safety files for development by the Contracts Manager and then to issue to site.
- Collate job information file at the end of the job, for handover to the client at final handover meeting.
- Provide administrative support to the Accounts Manager.
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, site operatives and other office based staff.

**Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Educated to minimum GCSE standard with passes in English and Maths
- Keen eye for detail and attention to detail in their work
- IT literate with Microsoft packages, especially Outlook, Word, Excel
- Confident telephone manner
- Previous administration experience in an office environment essential
- Previous experience working in a construction environment/office is desirable

**Personal Attributes**
- Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable at all levels
- Must be a team player
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand different construction materials and plant
- Must be able to work unsupervised, with good time management in respect of prioritising workload
- Must be flexible and adaptive to deal with the varying demands of the job
- Must be diplomatic and discreet
- Located in Harpenden or surrounding area

**Hours of Work**

The office operates Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30 - We require part time hours totalling approx. 20 hours a week preferably covering afternoons each day, - exact times can be flexible to be suit both parties.
