Yard Operative

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic **Timber Yard Operative** to join our team on a permanent basis in **Mansfield**

We are a large site with a great team and specialise in supplying timber and building materials to customers across the country, so this role is great for someone who has existing experience working with timber and enjoys a busy and active outdoor role

This role is working within **SG Supply Chain Solutions**, who are part of the **STARK Group**. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftspeople who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

- Experience of driving Forklift trucks would be preferable but not essential
- Experience handling different size loads and splitting loads - side loading would be ideal
- Positive attitude within the team working environment
- Good literacy and numeracy skills and PC literate
- A good practical understanding of Health and Safety

**Hours of Work**: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

- **So, what will I be doing?**_

Our Yard Operatives are really important to our success and a critical part of our customer’s positive experience with us. To support our customers effectively you will;
- Pick orders and load vehicles accurately and efficiently using a forklift to minimise manual handling
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in the yard/warehouse, carrying out regular stock counts
- Maintain and observe Health & Safety and housekeeping standards at all times
- Ensure all routine checks are completed accurately within the designated timeframe
- Contribute to overall customer service and satisfaction
- Commit to learning and developing within the role
