A number of exciting new opportunities have arisen to join us immediately initially to service a **3-5 year contract** with South West Water doing what we do best

We have an exciting opportunity for Gangers throughout the Exeter area. This role will be 100% site based and will be supporting one of our largest projects in the South West region and reporting directly to the project Supervisor.

Working as part of a team you willneed to have experience of working on the highway and customer properties carrying out water mains and services installations & maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to technical and Client/Customer specification with a strong emphasis on meeting Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, and regulations.

You will also understand that walking away from a problem, is not an option. You will be able to solve problems with a “can do” attitude that can think on your feet to repair or renew anything on the public & private water network.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:

- Be proactive and take ownership of the working environment
- Experience of the water industry and an excellent working knowledge of the process for potable mains and services rehabilitation works is essential
- Committed and reliable
- Hard working in all weather conditions
- Flexible as some out of hours work maybe required
- EUSR National Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, NRWSA Operative, 360 Excavator(desirable), Cable Avoidance Training, competent in using impact mole & Kobus machine, awareness of using IT equipment (handheld devices), NCO2/ C&G.
- Able to interpret Utility and Construction drawings
- Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not exclusive to:

- Complete daily Point of Work Risk assessments, hazard assessments of the working and surrounding areas
- Follow Method Statements & Safe Systems of Work always
- Understand and carry out daily tasks and briefings
- Ensuring you and your team wear appropriate PPE for the task and understand its use
- Set up your site correctly to protect yourself and the public
- Always considering the customer when carrying out your work. Keeping site, your work area, and your van clean and tidy
- Report any accidents, Incidents and near misses
- Report any defects e.g., plant, equipment, traffic management immediately
- Maintaining onsite records, track sheets, PUWER, HAVS, LOLER forms etc

**Salary**: £29,500.00-£36,000.00 per year
