Qualified to at least level 2 meeting the following requirements:
Either
- 4 GCSEs grade D or above (grade C or above in mathematics)
- Level 2 vocational qualification (e.g. BTEC First Level 2 Diploma)

**PURPOSE OF THE POST**
- Receive experiences and support in the workplace to complete an apprenticeship and to gain business administration qualification in the adult care field
- To gain an understanding of the department in order to learn about different career options that are available and identify a future career path
- Ensuring that the people of Gwynedd are central to everything we do

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUNCTIONS**

**Overview**

The Adults, Health and Well-being Department provides social care services to individuals aged 18+ including advice, information, support or care due to specific needs.

The purpose of the department is to enable the adults of Gwynedd to 'live my life the way I want to live it' and this position is important for this, mainly by providing administrative support. It could also include supporting managers with communication and information issues, health and safety issues, Welsh language issues and emergency planning, as well as supporting the council's children's services as well - depending on the apprentice's interests.

Here is an overview of the main duties of the job**:
Assist as a point of contact on the phone or in writing.
- Support administrative work such as taking minutes of meetings
- Provide support to department managers to organise meetings, IT matters, filing
- Support with processing invoices
- Assist with requests for personal and sensitive information
- Assist with the preparation of an information newsletter for staff/users and their families
- Support in prepare any marketing material for the services
- Assist with communication work and engagement with our communities
- Support the Team Leader on any issues that are appropriate
