Your new company
We are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst on a permanent basis for a well-known brand in Farnborough. Reporting to the Head of Insights and Data, you will collaborate closely with different internal business units and external stakeholders to ensureMaster Data for new products are uploaded in a timely manner, ensure data accuracy and quality is maintained and support the Data and Insights department with analysis for current and future projects. This role will play a critical part in the organisationsdata led, transformation projects over the next few years, which means you'll have exposure to a broad range of projects to help you further develop your data and analytics skills.
Your new role
As the Data Analyst you will take ownership for Master Data Management/ Data Loading, Data Interrogation, Data Cleansing, and work with your colleagues internally to investigate data inconsistencies, ensuring these are corrected as quickly as possible.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join this successful company with the ability to compare data, integrate and problem solve. You will be naturally curious and inquisitive and demonstrate a real passion for data and analytics, able to demonstrate an eyefor detail and the aptitude to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
You will be adept at working with diverse groups of people (some technical, some not), and demonstrate confidence in workshops/ meetings, able to utilise your creative mind to suggest new ways of working and improvements to current data processes to supportproject delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
Primarily we are looking for an existing Data Analyst with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc) with the aptitude to learn new technical skills quickly. If you have experience, or knowledge of SQL to query data this would be advantageous but isnot essential as you'll be supported to develop your SQL knowledge in this role.
- Data driven thinking and experience of data architectures and data modelling.
- Understanding of data processing and ability to validate problems in data and compare company data with the industry standard
- Data analysis experience with advanced Excel knowledge.
- Strong focus on objectives and sense of responsibility for delivering in time
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to spot patterns in data and produce new logical ideas
- Confidence to present in front of a senior audience.
- Dedicated strong work ethic with a keen interest to learn
- Strong SQL skills would also be advantageous
