**About the role and our team**

Join our dedicated team as a Social Care Worker at Southlands within Manx Care

You will be part of our large team who provide care to vulnerable older people and attend to all aspects of their care needs.

In this role you will provide high quality care and respond to residents’ needs on a daily basis, helping them remain a part of the wider community in the South of the Island.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

- Medication administration
- Helping residents maintain personal hygiene
- Enabling the residents to take part in their favourite social events and activities
- Escorting residents to appointments/shopping
- Helping residents to wash and dress
- Maintaining strong links with the residents’ family and friends

This is a very rewarding career, where you’ll support our residents with a variety of complex needs, enabling them to live independently for longer. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you

**What can this role offer me?**

Your development will be supported and there are good opportunities to build a career in this profession. Many of our Social Care Workers progress to be Senior Social Care Workers and then from this, you could become a Duty Manager.
