**About us**

Southern Planning Practice Limited is an established town planning consultancy based near Winchester, Hampshire. It has been serving clients for over 25 years. Our core source of work is in the Southern Counties of England (Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, West Sussex and Surrey), although we also undertake projects in London and can also operate further afield.

We provide professional advice to a wide base of clients on a variety of planning issues. We operate in both rural and urban areas, and across various sectors, including residential, commercial, agricultural and tourism.

**The Role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchase invoice processing
- Supplier communications and reconciliations
- Preparation of supplier payment runs
- Sales invoice processing and credit control
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation of financial reports
- General accounts duties to assist other members of the finance team and management
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the office
- Assist with organising and maintaining office files and records
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
- Utilise computer software, including Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks, to complete tasks
- Provide cover for Receptionist for lunch breaks and holiday periods

**Skills**:

- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in computerised systems for data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and office management practices
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365 for document creation and collaboration
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Proactive and productive
