As a Technical Author at Druck, you will:
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets our standards, is appropriate and easy to understand for customers
- Learn new product operational knowledge on a frequent basis
- Communicate across multi-disciplinary teams to understand new product details and extract required information for generation of manuals
- Be experienced in writing user manuals for high-technology products
- Revise and manage current product documentation
- Be self-motivated and passionate about producing good documentation
**Fuel your passion**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (with substantial experience in Engineering/Technology Industry).
- Have 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers and team members and be able to understand and explain complex technical concepts
- Have excellent command of English language and the ability to write in Simplified Technical English to facilitate multi-language translation of written content
- Have very good working knowledge of Adobe Framemaker, including graphics handling and multi-chapter book construction
- Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, XML and Content Models
- Understand Content Reuse, Content Management Systems and Computer aided Translation systems
- Be able to estimate timescales and work with multiple priorities on multiple projects
- Have good time-management skills
