The fast-growing **drinks media company** Paragraph is seeking a highly motivated **Content Executive** to work on its portfolio of publications, events, awards, and websites. Its well-established and high-quality brands connect consumers and business leaders in the alcoholic drinks industry across the world and have global brand recognition.

You are highly organised, have an excellent track record in face-to-face and telephone communication with clients and colleagues, and you thrive when working towards strict deadlines.

You have an excellent command of written English, never say ‘less’ when you mean ‘fewer’, and will revel in conversations about the written word, journalism, your favourite drinks, photography, design, and social media strategy. You are globally minded and enjoy writing engaging content wherever it might be published, whether it’s a magazine feature, blog post or tweet. You’re a savvy social media operator and know the difference between a link post and an image post, an Instagram story and a reel. Importantly, you know how to appropriately craft them all.

An eye for detail is a must. For example, we’ll need you to be able to differentiate between blended whisky, blended malt, and vatted malt, or compound and contemporary gin by glancing at a bottle label, and keep accurate records of details such as product prices, availability and alcoholic strengths. You don’t need to be a drinks category expert yet, but a desire to learn is vital.

A background working with print and/or online publications, or a content marketing department within a brand team or at an agency is highly desirable. Qualifications in journalism, marketing or English literature are not required, but are preferred. We will also consider applicants with a background in digital marketing or CRM who can demonstrate a flair for online features writing and social content production—for example, running a blog, e-newsletter, or YouTube channel. A minimum of one year’s experience in either role is desirable, but applicants with relevant qualifications and a strong portfolio will also be considered.

Reporting to our Head of Content, you will work alongside all departments—especially content, marketing and commercial.

The role is based from our Norwich office and will require occasional national and international travel, most often to London and Scotland.

**Content production & management**
- Proof-read all content on all publications
- Produce written content for our websites, magazines, social media and marketing as required and to set briefs
- Daily rewrite, fact checking and uploading of press releases and news stories to our websites, to help ensure we are the #1 source for relevant drinks media news
- Upload other content (articles, tasting notes, video) to website database and CMS with relevant cross-linking and metadata
- Attend and write reviews of Paragraph events (Whisky & Gin Live, Awards dinners etc.) for our websites
- Attend press trips / meeting clients / industry shows as required and write up notes, reports, or articles in a timely fashion afterwards
- Source editorial competition prizes as required from clients and partners
- Work closely with the content, design, events, awards, marketing and commercial teams
- Create social posts such tweets, reels and Instagram stories

**Photography & videography**
- Photo research and sourcing as required, direct from brands, PR agencies and stock image sites
- Uploading and scheduling of video to online hosts (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)

**Tastings review sample management**
- Act as Tastings Coordinator for all publications and ensure the sample review process for our magazines and websites runs smoothly
- Ensure samples are requested in a timely fashion from relevant brands and contacts chased
- Take responsibility for and catalogue all samples received by the content department, including coordinating photography with the design department; pouring and labelling samples; sample dispatch to tasters; and safe storage of samples
- Upload tastings data to websites
- Coordinate and mail out review certificates

**Events**
- Attend and assist in event presentations
- Assist in the operational running of Whisky Live and Gin Live events

**Marketing**
- Assist in generating regular consumer e-newsletters
- Create and schedule social media content to tie in with editorial features and marketing activity using services such as Hootsuite, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook Creator Studio and YouTube

**Targets**
- Generate the very best editorial and marketing content across all print and digital brands

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
